What Are “Essential” Oils?
Essential oils are the oils extracted directly from the bark, flower, fruit, leaf, seed or root of a plant or tree. By using either a low-heat, steam distillation, or a cold-press process, the oil is separated from the water-based components of the plant.
Because of their tiny molecular structure, use of essential oils is the most potent form of plant-based medicine. One drop of an essential oil contains approximately 40 million-trillion molecules. That’s a 4 with 19 zeros: 40,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Think about it… there are 100 trillion cells in the human body. So just 1 drop of an essential oil can cover every 1 of those 100 trillion cells with 40,000 oil molecules.
Talk about something that has the power to heal our aches and pains!
The FDA won’t allow me to say that essential oils can “cure” anything… but, I can say that they are so effective that a lot of folks are able to safely wean themselves off their prescriptions. We all know in our heart, that it’s always better to eliminate the cause rather than just manage the symptoms.
God created these plants for a purpose… recorded history shows that essential oils have been used for thousands of years, and there are 264 references in the Bible of 33 different essential oils being used… then I feel safe in using them in and on my body too.
