If you’ve found your way here… pull up a chair.
Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee (or tea), and let’s visit for a while.
This website is a little different than most.
It isn’t just about healthy living.
It isn’t just about herbs.
It isn’t just about recipes.
And it isn’t just about cancer.
It’s about life.
For years I’ve loved learning about natural health, gardening, herbs, old-fashioned remedies, cooking, and the practical wisdom my Granny passed down to me. I’ve spent countless hours growing herbs, making salves, experimenting with recipes, and sharing what I’ve learned with others.
But life has a way of changing our plans.
Recently I was diagnosed with B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
That wasn’t a sentence I ever expected to hear.
Like anyone else, I’ve had days filled with questions, fear, determination, hope, and prayer—sometimes all before lunchtime.
Instead of hiding that part of my life, I’ve decided to share it.
Not because I have all the answers…
…but because someone else may be walking a similar road and need a friend.
So this website is becoming something new.
Here you’ll find…
• The herbal knowledge my Granny taught me.
• Recipes from our family kitchen.
• Herbs I’m growing and using today.
• The successes…
• The failures…
• The science I discover…
• My cancer journey…
• The treatments I choose…
• The days I feel strong…
• The days I don’t.
You’ll also discover another part of me.
I’ve been a Realtor for many years, and life doesn’t stop because you get sick. The bills still have to be paid, clients still deserve great service, and somehow you learn to keep moving forward while trusting God with tomorrow.
I don’t know exactly where this journey will lead.
But I do know this:
I’m not giving up.
I still believe our bodies were wonderfully created.
I still believe food matters.
I still believe herbs have value.
I still believe doctors have a place.
I still believe hope is powerful.
And I still believe every single day is a gift from God.
If anything I learn can help someone else…
If one recipe makes your family smile…
If one herb eases someone’s discomfort…
If one story reminds you not to lose hope…
…then every word I write will be worthwhile.
So welcome.
I’m glad you’re here.
Let’s walk this road together.
